Что-то давно никто в этой теме не отписывался. А, между тем, Metallica вошли в Зал Славы Рок-н-ролла!!!

В церемонии введения группы Metallica в Зал славы рок-н-ролла приняли участие бывший и нынешний бас-гитаристы коллектива - Джейсон Ньюстед и Роберт Трухиле.

4 апреля состоялась церемония введения группы Metallica в Зал славы рок-н-ролла. Группа выполнила две композиции "Master Of Puppets" и "Enter Sandman", вместе с бывшим басистом Джейсоном Ньюстедом и нынешним басистом Робертом Трухиле (на сцене они были впятером). А в конце выступления был устроен специальный сюрприз - джем на выполнение композиции "Train Kept A Rollin", в котором, кроме Metallica, приняли участие Flea из Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimmy Page из Led Zeppelin, Joe Perry из Aerosmith и Jeff Beck.


Представил группу Metallica перед собравшимися басист Red Hot Chili Peppers Flea, одетый в раритетную футболку METALLICA. В своей речи Flea рассказал о том, как впервые услышал группу METALLICA в 1984 году во время турне из PEPPERS. Тогда был третий час утра, они все очень устали, сидели в своем фургоне уставшие от бесконечных переездов, и "музыка, которая заиграла по радио, привела нас в такой восторг, что это просто не описать словами", - сказал Flea. - Это было приблизительно так: я жил в обычном мире, прекрасно знал, что крутят на радиостанциях, но то, что я услышал, перевернуло все мои представления - я никогда не слышал в своей жизни ничего подобного".


"Я понятия не имею, что это было; единственное, что я понял сразу, было то, что это что-то грандиозное", сказал он о "Fight Fire With Fire", сравнив звучание METALLICA с уникальной разновидностью "космической химии", заслуга в создании которой в немалой степени принадлежала погибшему в 1986 во время автобусной аварии басисту Клиффу Бертону.
